General Help[edit | edit source]
To edit a page, click the "Edit" button near the Page Title. This will open a text area with the page's source text. This can then be modified and when finished, a summary can be added and the "save changes" button can be pressed to save the changes. These can be found below the Edit Text Area.
Categories[edit | edit source]
To add a page or uploaded file to a category, simply edit the page and add the following text (where Project is the name of the category you want to add it to).
[[Category:Project]]
To create a link to a category, use a leading colon before the category name (without this colon, the current page would be added to the category):
[[:Category:Project | Project Category]]
This will create a link with the text "Project Category" to the Project category page.
Edit the Sidebar[edit | edit source]
To edit the sidebar, use the search bar to search for MediaWiki:Sidebar
then edit the page. here is the default text:
* navigation ** mainpage|mainpage-description ** recentchanges-url|recentchanges ** randompage-url|randompage ** helppage|help-mediawiki * SEARCH * TOOLBOX * LANGUAGES
